On December 3, 2024, marking International Day of Persons with Disabilities (PWD), a thrilling wheelchair match took place to celebrate the resilience and talent of individuals with disabilities. Each team, comprising 12 PWD players showcased their skills and determination in an inspiring display of sportsmanship.
The Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP, Shakeel Muhammad Khan Safi graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his closing remarks, he stated, “Through sports, we aim to integrate marginalized communities into mainstream society by providing them with opportunities to succeed and contribute.
This event highlighted the importance of valuing every individual’s potential and reinforcing the message of equality and inclusivity on this significant day.
