A swimming competition was held at Qayyum Sports Complex, Saddar Peshawar, organized by the Education & Youth Development Cell (EYDC) in collaboration with BBSC-GIZ.
The event not only promoted physical fitness and water safety but also strengthened bonds between communities through inclusive and interactive sports.The competition comprised both Afghan refugee and host community youth.
Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP, graced the event and awarded medals and certificates to the talented young swimmers. Representatives from UNHCR, UN-Habitat and other partner organizations also attended and appreciated the efforts to create safe, inclusive spaces for youth engagement.
A day full of energy, joy and meaningful connections proving once again that sports can be a powerful tool for peace and social cohesion.
