Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP, Shakeel Muhammad Khan Safi, visited the Voluntary Repatriation Center (VRC) and PoR Card Modification (PCM) Center in Azakhel, Nowshera, accompanied by the Head of UNHCR Sub-Office Peshawar. The visit focused on reviewing the repatriation process of Afghan refugees. The Commissioner was briefed on the center’s operations and inspected facilities to understand challenges. The UNHCR representative provided updates on repatriation trends and the assistance given to returning refugees. Both sides discussed further improvements to ensure a smooth, efficient and supportive repatriation process.
