On 16th September 2024, the Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP, Mr. Shakeel Muhammad Khan Safi, attended an important dialogue on Education for Afghan refugees at Refugee Village Khazana. This initiative organized by the Education and Youth Development Cell (EYDC)- CAR, KP in collaboration with HELVETAS Pakistan focused on understanding the community’s views on the current educational services provided, the challenges they face and their hopes for the future of their children’s education.
During the dialogue, members of the community were encouraged to share their thoughts on various educational issues. There was also a focus on the need for education that is culturally and linguistically suitable for the refugee population.
The Commissioner, after listening to the community, also visited the School and the Basic Health Unit (BHU) within the Khazana Refugee Village. He assured the community that steps would be taken to address several concerns.
