The Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP, accompanied by Senior Technical Advisor GIZ-BBSC conducted a visit to the Torkham Border and Michni Post to evaluate the current conditions at these critical points. The visit focused on assessing protection measures for Afghan refugees and understanding the broader security environment in the region.
During the visit, the delegation received a comprehensive briefing on the prevailing law and order situation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border. The briefing highlighted key challenges related to cross-border movement including issues of border management, documentation processes and ensuring the safety and security of refugees.
