On December 13, 2024, the Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP Mr. Shakeel Muhammad Khan Safi participated in an exhibition organized by the Hashoo Foundation as part of the LIVE-HMT Project. The event highlighted the entrepreneurial abilities of Afghan refugees featuring small-scale businesses, a culinary competition and displays of handcrafted products. The Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP commended the participants accomplishments and underscored the vital role of vocational training in fostering self-sufficiency and economic empowerment.
A panel discussion on financial inclusion for Afghan refugees was also held during the event gathering industry leaders and experts to deliberate on actionable strategies and solution.
