The Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees (CAR), Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, in collaboration with Ayesha Foundation and under the special directives of the Federal Minister for SAFRON, Engr. Amir Muqam, organized a Free Medical Camp at Zahoor Medical Complex, Puran, Shangla, on 29th June 2025.
Over 1,000 patients received free medical consultations and essential medicines.
200+ persons with disabilities including special children were provided with detailed physiotherapy assessments and individualized rehabilitation plans.
Wheelchairs, walkers and hygiene kits were distributed among people with disabilities.
A team of doctors from Peshawar including general physicians, pediatricians, gynecologists, cardiologist, orthopedic specialists, physiotherapists and clinical psychologists, offered voluntary services.
A special focus was placed on mental health with expert psychologists conducting awareness sessions on stress, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and providing practical guidance for those in need.
The event was graced by Commissioner for Afghan Refugees, KP Mr. Shakeel Muhammad Khan Safi who personally oversaw the distribution of assistive equipment and engaged with patients and the community.
